Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for Sterile Processing Technician Lead to join our growing Sterile Processing team!

Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. Variable shifts. (Primarily evenings.)

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.

  • One year acute care sterile processing experience required.

  • Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a Healthcare Central Service Program from an accredited educational institution preferred.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Sterile Processing Technician Lead, you perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning, sterilizing and assembling and wrapping surgical instruments; picks case carts; Restocks supplies and instrumentation; and completes other duties to facilitate the patient care team.

  • Directs work flow using Standard Work and LEAN processes.

  • Meets with manager, OR to determine scheduling needs are met.

  • Participates in the development of work schedules to accommodate work flow and meet department needs.

  • Assists with the training and orientation, in all aspects of Sterile Processing, of team members.

  • Documents competency completion and provides timely feedback on employee orientation progress to the unit manager.

  • Provides training to existing team members as new departments or as existing departments change their sterilization processes.

  • Acts as a liaison between the sterile processing team and the operating room team. Problem solves customer service issues as needed.
