Kadlec has anexciting opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist (Temporary) to join our growing team!
Shift Details: Part time, 0.88. Variable shifts.
Completion of an AMA approved ultrasound program and completion of one of the ARDMS or ARRT prerequisites for registry eligibility required.
Current ARRT or ARDMS Ultrasound credential required or registry eligible required. Registered status will be required within the first year of employment.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
One year experience in medical sonography as a registered sonographer or as a registry eligible sonographer preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As an Ultrasound Technologist you perform diagnostic medical sonography, assist physician as required and performs related duties as assigned.
Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician following evaluation of the physical condition of the patient to include the appropriateness of the procedure. Consults with radiologist as needed.
Assists physicians in locating patient radiographs.
Releases files as needed following proper protocol and maintains the record of such film loans within the PACS and RIS.
Assists with patient scheduling as required.
Greets patient pleasantly, confirms identification and explains examination procedure to the patient.
Operates ultrasonic equipment and evaluates sonograms for technical quality.
