Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing Free Standing Emergency Department located in Kennewick, Washington!

Shift Details: 0.9 FTE, Full Time, Variable Shift.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Training Program

  • Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required; If no AA Degree, an equivalent combination of education/experience to that of an AA Degree may be considered

  • Current ARRT Sonography or ARDMS Ultrasound credential required or registry eligible required

  • If registry-eligible, registered status will be required one year from date of hire into the position

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in Medical sonography as a registered sonographer or as a registry eligible sonographer

  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Ultrasound Technologist you will perform diagnostic medical sonography, assists physician as required and performs related duties as assigned. The Ultrasound Supervisor will act on behalf of the FSED Unit Manager to provide oversight of clinical skills, QAs, Competencies, etc.

  • Demonstrate and sustain compliance with the Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standards of Excellence and Code of Conduct.

  • Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician following evaluation of the physical condition of the patient to include the appropriateness of the procedure; Consult with radiologist as needed.

  • Answer telephone and follows through as necessary.

  • Release files as needed following proper protocol and maintain the record of such film loans within the PACS and RIS.

  • Assist with patient scheduling as required.

  • Greet patient pleasantly, confirms identification and explain examination procedure to the patient.

  • Operate ultrasonic equipment and evaluates sonograms for technical quality.
