Full Time, 0.9 FTE. 12 hour variable shifts. (Primarily nights): CNA - Acute Care 7RP
Part Time, 0.6 FTE. 12 hour variable shifts. CNA - Acute Care 7RP CNA - Cardiac Unit 4RP (primarily days)
Part Time, 0.5 FTE. 10 hour variable shifts. (Primarily days, 6:30a-4:00p, Saturday & Sunday) CNA - Peri-Anesthesia Unit
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Current WA State Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
(Post-hire): WA State MA-R Licensure within 60 days from date of hire into the position.
Completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred.
One year experience in a patient care setting preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Unit Secretary/CNA, only: Secretarial experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant you perform a variety of tasks to assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in an assigned area.
Assists professional nursing staff with daily care of patients by performing basic technical and non-technical tasks under direction and supervision.
Provides a.m. to p.m. care; e.g., bathing patient, peri-care, personal care; makes bed, changes gown. Adheres to department procedures and standards.
Measures and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, and blood pressure), height and weight. Measures and records fluid and food intake and output. Documents information following department procedure.
Prepares patients for meals, assists in feeding patients, if necessary. Distributes water and other nourishments according to the patients' needs.
Prepares room and bed for receiving patient, assuring a clean and safe environment. Continues to observe patient's environment to ensure safety and comfort.
Performs treatment procedures such as surgical skin preparations and application of ice packs and heat following department procedure and standards.
Transcribes physician orders, follows through with appropriate action; schedules procedures; orders medications, laboratory tests, respiratory treatments, and dietary nourishment with detail and accuracy.
Receives and delivers to appropriate personnel a variety of documents, messages, medications, specimens, and medical equipment as requested by physicians, nursing staff or Medical Center procedure.
Answers the telephone and utilizes the MEdical Center communications and telephone systems appropriately.
Orders supplies and maintains par level of stock.
Enters department specific patient charges.
