Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lab Assistant to join our growing Clinical Lab team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part-time, 0.5 FTE, Variable Shift
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution.
Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Licensure
Completion of a structured or accredited Clinical Assistant training program.
2 years phlebotomist experience.
1 year waived testing experience.
Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Licensure for 2nd and 3rd shift Clinical Assistants.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Clinical Lab Assistant you will perform perform and report waived and moderately complex laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology and microbiology; Process specimens for clinical analysis, phlebotomy; Assist the technologists; React to change productivity; and handle other tasks as assigned.
Check specimen integrity.
Program and load specimens on automatic instrumentation, reports results in LIS via autoverify.
Perform manual kit testing, reports results in LIS
Prepare and stain peripheral smears and micro specimens
Sets up and plate micro specimens on proper media, prepares for transport.
Print and check pending and HRP logs, troubleshoots if necessary
Prepare reagents and controls.
Check all reagents and controls for proper dating.
Programs and loads reagents onto automatic instrumentation.
Performs quality control on indicated instruments and kits.
Review quality control with Medical Technologist.
Follow maintenance schedule, performs maintenance, documents and reviews with Medical Technologist.
