Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Echo Sonographer to join our growing Echocardiography team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part time, 0.5. Day shifts.
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Successful completion of an accredited academic program in Echocardiography required.
Successful completion of registration within 2 years from date of hire into the position.
One year Ultrasound experience required.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required within two (2) years from date of hire into the position required.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Echo Sonographer you will preform echocardiograms to produce diagnostic data assessing heart function and capability to be used by the cardiologist to enhance the care and treatment of the patient. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient information and explains the purpose and duration of testing to the patients. Reviews results and arranges reports for physician review. Provides other diagnostic testing. Attends required Continuing Education.
Enters/updates clinical patient data into the computer.
Prepares ultrasound reports for physician review.
Adheres to compliance with all personnel policies, operational policies and HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
Maintains a safe and unobstructed work area, practices good safety habits and observes OSHA safety rules and guidelines including, but not limited to: practicing safety precautions/infection control, wearing required protective clothing and equipment, following established protocols for the disposal of sharps and contact/disposal of blood and other bodily fluids.
