Kadlec Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Hearing Aid Specialist to join our growing Audiology team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. Day shifts.
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Graduate from a two (2) year degree program - or - a nine (9) month certificate program in hearing aid specialist instruction, from a board-approved program required.
Two (2) years of hands-on clinical Audiology / Hearing Aid Dispenser experience required.
Current WA State Hearing Aid SpecialistLicensure required.
Three (3) plus years of experience with diagnostic testing and dispensing hearing aids is preferred.
Bi-lingualor multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Hearing Aid Specialist you will perform a variety of duties involved in providing patient care services by performing hearing aid fittings and follow ups and selecting appropriate amplification devices, and counseling patients and their families about hearing loss.
Maintain supplies for Audiology clinic including ordering and stocking hearing aid supplies.
Manage and track device orders and repairs.
Provide in-person, phone, or online support to customers, regarding hearing testing, hearing device programming and adjustments, hearing health, and counseling.
Perform hearing aid selection and hearing aid fitting appointments.
Must follow Best Practice Fitting recommendations from AAA, which include verification (using RealEar) and validation measures (Guidelines for the Audiological Management of Adult Hearing Impairment 2006).
Make ear impressions and ear molds.
