Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a RN Hospitalist Coordinator to join our growing Hospital Based Providers team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Per Diem. Day shifts.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
Current WA State Registered Nurse Licensure required.
Eighteen months acute care experience required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Hospitalist program experience preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.

As a RN Hospitalist Coordinator you will responsible for the day to day support functions for the Adult Hospitalist team. The HNC will serve as a liaison to physicians, staff, discharged patients and their families to facilitate safe and effective flow of patient care in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center. The HNC manages patient assignments to physician teams to optimally meet the patient, hospital unit and Adult Hospitalist to ensure continuity of care and staffing needs. The HNC manages patient/family inquiries and facilitates the completion of appropriate paperwork and documentation after discharge, as needed. Completion of paperwork requiring physician signature may be completed and coordinated by HNC. The HNC provides support and assistance in quality and organizational improvement activities. The HNC provides coordination and support to expedite efficient and effective patient throughput and flow. The HNC participates in organizational quality improvement activities. Assures policies and procedures are updated.
Serves as a liaison to physicians, staff, discharged patients and their families to facilitate safe and effective flow of patient care in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
Manages patient assignments to physician teams to optimally ensure continuity of care and resource utilization.
Evaluates, investigates and resolves staffing issues and concerns in collaboration with the Medical Director, Program Administrator and unit managers.
Manages patient/family inquiries and facilitates the completion of appropriate paperwork and documentation, primarily after discharge.
Assumes a leadership role and acts as a resource person to staff, physicians and discharged patients.
