Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing Facilities team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full Time, 1.0. 8 hour variable shifts (primarily evenings and/or nights).
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Two years commercial maintenance experience or four years trade specific construction required.
Associate Degree from an accredited educational institution in a building trade or related discipline preferred.
Experience in welding/fabrication and machining preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Maintenance Mechanic you preform a variety of skilled building maintenance which includes but is not limited to the following; installation and maintenance of electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing systems and miscellaneous carpentry functions. Maintenance Mechanics are required to perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on multiple equipment assets and are required to complete appropriate documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Other duties can be assigned at the Manager, Facilities or Lead, Maintenance Mechanic per discretion.
Performs a wide variety of skilled repairs and preventative maintenance at Kadlec Regional Medical Center buildings and on major electrical and mechanical systems; assures the buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe condition.
Displays effective computer skills (MS Office programs, etc.) in order to operate electronic maintenance system and building automation.
Communicates both verbally and in writing to ensure excellent customer service and professionalism.
Follows directions and carries out assignments by established target dates. Assignments include but are not limited to a wide range of work orders and preventative maintenance.
Repairs and maintains a broad spectrum of items ranging from painting and patching walls to servicing major mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility daily.
