Kadlec Regional MedicalCenter has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Staff Services Manager to lead our growing team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. Management. Exempt.
As the Medical Staff Services Manager you will be responsible for the direction and oversight of the Medical Staff Services Department. This includes credentialing and re-credentialing, planning, organizing, leading, implementing, monitoring and evaluating department functions at the administrative level including day to day fiscal management, Medical Staff meeting management and the flow of information from Medical Staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee to the Board of Directors. This position acts as a resource to Medical Staff regarding Medical Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations and policies. This position provides leadership and organizes resources to enable the institution to achieve compliance with accreditation standards related to the Medical Staff. You will also ensure that the activities of the Medical Staff Services Department are conducted in a manner consistent with accreditation standards, the mission of Kadlec Regional Medical Center, and established medical center policies and procedures. You will work closely with Medical Staff leaders, hospital Administration and legal council on selected Medical Staff issues. This position is accountable to the Chief Medical Officer.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution, or in progress and completed within 5 years from date of hire into the position required, or equivalent education/experience required. Equivalent years of experience, including experience in a management position in the area of specialty.
5 years management/supervisory experience in Medical Staff Services required.
Some experience in Performance Improvement activities, tools and techniques required.
Affiliation with the National Association Medical Staff Services and the Washington Association Medical Staff Services required.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution preferred.
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMS) by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plans, organizes and directs the day-to-day operations of the Medical Staff Services Department in support of the Health System’s vision, mission and values. Including assigning duties, evaluating performance, approval of time cards.
Ensures department is efficient in personnel operations and issues including completing requisition, interviewing, hiring and following hospital policy on constructive counseling and discipline.
Identifies learning needs of staff and collaborates with individuals on employee development plans and completes annual evaluations.
Develops annual goals, objectives and process improvement plans, which support the organization’s strategic plan, mission and vision. Implements annual plan, evaluate progress and report outcomes.
Assures all staff adheres to standard policies as outlined in the department related to infection control, fire and safety, hazardous chemicals, personnel policies and department procedures.
Develops annual operational budget for the Medical Staff Services department and the Medical Staff. This includes soliciting input for educational and credentialing needs.
Monitors monthly financial reports and adjusts department operations as needed to manage the budget.
Develops and implements process and procedures for the department and continues to monitor processes to assure efficiency.
Plans, develops and implements performance improvement measures for the department.
Tracks, provides performance reports and presents to boards and the executives of the Health System.
Provides and seeks additional opportunities for communication inter-and intra-departmentally.
