Kadlec Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Pharmacy Technician to join our growing Pharmacy team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. Day shifts.
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Completion of a Washington State approved pharmacy technician training program required.
Three years pharmacy technician experience required.
Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician Licensure required.
Current CPhT Certification required.
Courses in accounting, business, and auditing preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Purchasing Pharmacy Technician you will work with the pharmacy inpatient buyer and provides drug buying support for Kadlec owned outpatient clinics: Remains responsible for working with clinic staff to monitor medication stock levels, execute purchase orders, maintain compliance with 340B/WAC purchasing for 340B child sites and usual buying practices for non-340B clinics; Assists with pharmacy information system maintenance activities; Organizes purchase invoices and initiates payment for completed purchases; Other administrative clerical tasks may be assigned to this position at the Pharmacy Director’s discretion. On a fill in/as needed basis, the clinic buyer technician may also assist with standard pharmacy technician duties.
Attentively manages daily drug buyer activities to achieve a target annual turnover.
Coordinates and executes daily drug buying activity with primary vendors - Cardinal, Baxter Corp., PharMedium, and other direct sale vendors.
Performs assigned data base maintenance tasks within pharmacy information systems – examples may include Horizon Meds Manager, Connect Rx, Pharmagistics, Pyxis, Omnicell, AccuDose, Med Carousel, and STAR Financial.
Performs Narcotic Safe inventory maintenance tasks per management directives.
Monitors pharmacy buying compliance with 340B/WAC and GPO contracts. Executes Cardinal wholesale purchase orders.
Coordinates purchase of drop ship medication items.
Performs routine auditing of clinic compliance to medication purchasing, storage, security and returns policies established by the Director of Pharmacy and clinic leadership.
