Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Payment Variance Representative to join our growing Clinic Billing team located in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. 8 hour day shifts.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution required.

  • 3 years healthcare setting experience with Accounts Receivable required.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: patient accounting, government/non-government follow-up and contract review required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred.

  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Under the general direction of the Coordinator, Revenue Integrity, ensures reimbursement received at Kadlec Regional Medical Center with payment or contractual variances are analyzed, researched and an appropriate action is taken to resolve each variance; maintains close communication with Revenue Cycle managers, coordinators, and staff, as well as appropriate contacts in Finance, Contracting and IT; and gathers and analyzes data to develop payer report cards to be used in analyzing payer contract performance and to assist in managed care contract negotiations.

  • Researches insurance under/over payments, gathers data, identifies trends and disseminates information by payer.

  • Prepares reports and statistical graphs on payer performance for the Manager of Revenue Cycle Operations and other teams as needed.

  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with provider representatives.

  • Schedules ongoing quarterly meetings with payer representatives to discuss reimbursement and/or denial issues and ad hoc meetings as appropriate or as issues arise.

  • Corresponds with payers, including gathering information required by payer, and petitions payer for reconsideration of reimbursement.

  • Reviews adjustments completed by Kadlec Clinic Billing Office Staff for accuracy and appropriateness and keys adjustments to system utilizing appropriate transaction codes in a timely and accurate manner.
