Kadlec RN - Clinical Risk Quality Care Management in Richland, Washington


Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Risk Management RN to join our growing Risk Management team located in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: Full-time, 1 FTE, 8 Hour Day Shift. Monday – Friday with occasional on-call.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing or higher from an Accredited educational institution, or Bachelor's in Science of Nursing or higher in progress. If Bachelor's in Science of Nursing or higher is in progress, must be completed within three years from date of hire into the position.

  • Current WA State RN Licensure required

  • Three years of Risk Management experience or clinical nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service/Risk Management experience.

  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Clinical Risk Management RN you are responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and mitigating incidents and unanticipated events that have the potential to jeopardize the delivery of safe patient care and services.

  • Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standard of Excellence and Code of Conduct.

  • Serves as a resource to physicians and staff in clarifying and resolving risk management issues. Monitors cases for risk issues.

  • Reviews Quality Review Report issues that may be the source of complaints of potential claim or legal action.

  • Develops follow-up plan for each Quality Review Report.

  • Advises Patient Financial Services of appropriate action for unpaid accounts involved in complaints and/or claims as appropriate.

  • Prepares Risk referred cases for Medical Staff Quality review, including timeline preparation and/or case summary.

  • Enters information into the electronic event reporting system.

  • Refers cases for Clinical Staff Quality review.

  • Prepares reports of event reporting dataand system improvements for MSQ, Board Quality and other committees as requested.

  • Assists Manager, Risk Management with risk management activities as assigned.
