Kadlec Clinic has an exciting opportunity for an Registered Nurse OR ASC to join our growing Tri City Regional Surgery Center team, located in Richland, Washington.

Shift Details: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift


Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 year of recent operating room experience or successful completion of a Peri-Operative Program.

  • Moderation sedation experience required.

  • Current WA State RN Licensure required.

  • Current American Heart Association Provider BLS required.

  • ACLS required within 6 months from date of hire into the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Registered Nurse you will assumes independent responsibility/accountably for the direct, primary care of patients through the pre/post phases of surgical care. Utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive nursing care during the peri-operative phase. Coordinates total patients care in coordination with other health care team members. Functions as a patient advocate utilizing the Patients’ Bill of Rights. Demonstrates professional growth and development by accepting responsibility and accountability for one’s nursing practice. Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients and their families to facilitate safe and effective flow of patient care in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center; and assists in providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff, as well as perform related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates and sustains compliance with the Caregiver Expectations and Code of Conduct.

  • Uses principles of aseptic technique and infection control in varying situations.

  • Assures all equipment is functioning before use, and follows manufacture’s guidelines.

  • Verifies the operative procedure using the consent form, patient statement, and if needed surgeon verification prior to the procedure.

  • Continuously evaluates the patient’s needs, plan of care, and nursing actions, adjusting the plans as required to provide optimum patient outcomes.

  • Verifies allergies to medication, food, chemicals.

  • Reports deviations of diagnostics studies (lab or diagnostic studies) to the attending surgeon.

  • Starts IVs and manage IVs during procedure.

  • Within scope of licensure and as per competency, administers medication as directed by Provider.

  • Provides patient care during pre, intra and post procedures.
