Kadlec Regional Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Spanish Interpreter to join our growing Interpreter Services team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Part-Time, 0.8, 40 Hour Variable Shift
H.S. Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
DSHS Certification for Spanish Medical Interpreter
- Recent healthcare experience
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Spanish Interpreter you will provide verbal and written interpreting and translating for Spanish speaking patients. Performs related duties as assigned.
Embrace Planetree Philosophy to provide a safe, comfortable, therapeutic patient centered environment.
Provide face-to-face and phone interpretation service for patients in the Spanish language.
Provide some Spanish translating services for Kadlec Staff.
Schedule patient visit interpreter sessions according to patient and staff needs.
Document interpreter session in patient record.
Serve as a resource for staff and physicians.
Mentor staff to be sensitive to patient cultural and language needs.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
Participate in quality improvement activities; recommends improvements and participates in the development and implementation of improvement plans.
Adhere to standard policies as outlined in department related to infection control, fire and safety, hazardous chemicals, personnel policies, and departmental procedures.
