Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery Center team located in Richland, Washington!
Shift Details: Full Time, 1.0. 8 hour day shifts.
This position is located at our brand new, orthopedic-focused Ambulatory Surgery Center!

GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Current registration as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in Washington State as per RCW 18.215 required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Preference will be given to candidates with recent technologist experience in a similar surgical environment.
Graduation from an Accredited Training Program preferred.
National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Surgical Technologist you will assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients ranging from infants to geriatrics; Assists with surgical procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery Center; and performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.
Takes direction from the registered nurse related to patient safety in the case.
Obtains and arranges on instrument table all surgical instruments and supplies that are required for the surgery.
Assists in positioning the patient when needed; drapes patient; maintains sterile field during the procedure. Responsible to create adequate space surrounding the sterile field.
Adheres to department policies and procedures related to aseptic technique and sterile techniques; complies with Universal Precautions, AORN standards, and APIC for Operating Room standards.
Assists surgeon, and other team members, during the procedure by passing instruments, sponges, sutures and other needed equipment as requested and handles instruments/equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations and department policies.
Develops and maintains a surgical conscientious for each surgical patient.
Maintains levelheadedness and a calm demeanor during emergency situations.
