Shift Details: Full time, 1.0. 8 hour variable shifts. (Primarily days.) Call required.

GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.
Current registration as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in Washington State as per RCW 18.215 required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Surgical Technologist experience required.
Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist experience strongly preferred.
Graduation from an Accredited Training Program preferred.
National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Surgical Technologist you will assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. Also assists with surgical procedures in the Operating Room and performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.
Consistently maintains a customer service focus when providing patient care.
Sets up the assigned operating room following established department procedures assuring the equipment is appropriate for the specific surgery.
Obtains and arranges on instrument table all surgical instruments and supplies that are required for the surgery.
Assists in positioning the patient when needed; drapes patient; maintains sterile field during the procedure. Responsible to create adequate space surrounding the sterile field.
Adheres to department policies and procedures related to aseptic technique and sterile techniques; complies with Universal Precautions and AORN standards for Operating Room attire.
Assists surgeon, and other team members, during the procedure by passing instruments, sponges, sutures and other needed equipment as requested and handles instruments/equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations and department policies.
