External Candidate Hiring Process
From job search to New Caregiver/Employee Orientation (NCO), our team is here to support you throughout the hiring process.
Note: this process applies to most open roles but may differ slightly based on role type. This process does not apply to internal caregivers , executives and providers. For more information, visit our FAQ page .
Job search & application
Search by job title/keyword, location, military code, and/or entity/facility. Your search will populate a list of jobs that you can further refine using available filters. Once you identify a job that matches your interests and experience, click the “apply now” button. From there, you’ll begin the online application process.
Application screening
After you apply, and if you meet the requirements of the position, many of our jobs require additional screening via text message through our vendor partner HireVue.
Interview
Candidates who pass the initial screening may be invited to self-schedule an interview with a hiring manager. If you are selected to move forward, the interview process may be in-person or virtual.
Offer
If you are offered a position, your recruiter will connect with you verbally on the phone, and you will receive an e-offer which requires your acceptance. Acceptance of the e-offer triggers the post-offer preboarding process.
Preboarding
The safety of our patients, visitors and caregivers is a top priority. To help ensure a safe environment, the following time-sensitive requirements may be part of your preboarding process:
- Background checks: may include additional, regionally-required background checks
- Completion of a drug-free attestation and/or drug screen
- Health screen
- Forms and policy documents
Onboarding
Once you complete preboarding and are cleared to start, onboarding tasks may include:

- Completing your I-9
- Reviewing and updating your career profile
- Uploading your badge photo
- Setting up your payment elections including direct deposit
- Completing your W4 – federal withholding information
